Toerist Modernist was founded in 2019 by me, Gerlin Heestermans, and aims to put modernist heritage in Belgium on the map. From art deco over mid century to functionalism, brutalism, etc. - for such a small country we are spoilt with great architecture, and most of it stays unnoticed and under the radar. I intend to make these buildings accessible (both literally and figuratively) and bring them to people's attention.
